Breeding and Other Services
To create genetically engineered animals in practice is complicated. It requires the the technologies of molecular and developmental biology and embryology and animal breeding skills.
The delivering animals are passed a routine test of SPF (specific pathogen free) grade environmental standards with sentinel-animals by the CIEA (Central Institute for Experimental Animals) in accordance with the standard microbiological monitoring guidelines of the International Council for Laboratory Animal Science (ICLAS). Other special testing or special treatments for SPF animals are also available.
