Pronuclear Microinjection (mice, rats, rabbits)
We create transgenic mice/rats/rabbits by pronuclear injection with transgenic expression cassettes prepared by the customer.
Purity of the transgenic expression cassetes is a necessary requirement
Transgenic expression cassettes must be linearized and excised from highly purified plasmids. If the DNA submitted by the customer has low concentration or is deemed to be contaminated with other DNA fragments, the coustomer will be charged and asked to submit a new sample.
Proper purification of transgenic expression cassettes
is crucial for successful transgenic mouse production!
There are several possibilities for shipping transgenic animals to the customer:
a) Shipment of recipient animals with transferred DNA injected ova
b) Send tail biopsies to customers for selection and ship
the selected tg-animals.
c) Shipment of tg-animals selected through Southern blot
Hybridization Genotyping using tail biopsies.
